Labor Day Weekend

This Labor Day weekend had its partying, had its quietness and a warm sunny afternoon out.
Friday night was at The Cellar

Saturday morning all of us girls went hunting for this coffee shop that is said to be o-so-Mmmmmm, called Blue Bottle. And when we did find it, we were surprised to see it was a hole in the wall kind of place, but the coffee was as good as expected. Yum :)

After Amanda and Alex had to head back to San Jose (a tout a l'heure). Melanie and I took a walk into Golden Gate Park. Where we saw a group of people that sort of resembled hippies but not quite exactly practice some song and dancing in front of a couple of Native American style tipees. It was very curious and that group had everyone's attention who were playing, BBQing, sunbathing, you name it. That group of chanting and swaying people had the stage.

We found this segmented collonade stone structure and thought to take a couple of pictures while we were in passing. The park is incredibly enjoyable just walking through and taking in the sights.

Sunday was a quiet day and Labor Day we found Shakespeare in the Park Presidio. We sat outside on this old military property that has be rehabed for retreats and conferences. It appears to be a beautiful piece of estate and here we enjoyed the play, "A Midsummer Night's Dream"

...and enjoyed watching the play picnic style :)

Without a care we took whatever road back home and enjoyed the surprising views as we came around the bends.
